Im definitely both with a jug of holy water 😅 raised Catholic, Irish Romany traveller blood. Do I practise Catholicism? No but do I have emergency holy water? Yes. To This day I will not wear an opal no matter how beautiful they are. I talk to the birds, I watch which ones follow me, I see and feel it all so both and it does get a little exhausting at times but it can’t be switched off.

And then the Christian seeks the effect, instead of being instructed by it. Example: last week I lost a beloved treasure, instead of taking it as a hint, I understand it as judgement. Just before I found it shattered, I had needlessly given away something. I contributed to needless waste, and the universe responded to show me the effect of my actions. I’m not sure what we’d call this, but this desire to receive “omens” as judgement instead of affirmation is uniquely Christian.

I can sometimes feel when an animal is about to run across the road. I believe there is a certain amount of magic in things like love, nature, moonlight, etc that cannot currently be explained by science. and I know that several times I've felt things about some people long before I learned the truth about them

Such a good and complex question! I identify more with the mystical bcz it relates more to intuition. I’m a bit averse to superstitions but I believe the historical ones are like whispers from our ancestors. For example, in my culture, a neighbor asking for salt is considered a bad omen. I can see how that would relate to economic distress and therefore be seen as a sign of bad times. Black cats, Friday 13th…not even relatable.

I only believe in good luck and doing things that make me lucky, I don't believe in bad luck tho. If I get a nice parking spot it's because I am a lucky person, if I get a bad spot, well that's just what happens when it's crowded
