Yeah don’t do this. It’s actually illegal if you don’t have a transfer switch or a hinged breaker that keeps “Utility Power” off while “Generator Power” is fed into the panel.

There is a new box now called ez generator switch and it can be installed with the existing service switch in place of a regular light switch.

Just for most people’s information—in MOST states back feeding to the panel WITHOUT an interlock is illegal & if you’re caught you can go to jail or big fine…
