I don’t really understand, by company do you mean the firm or do you mean you got connected to a law firm by a company? Also rm300 doesn’t sound like a usual firm’s charges (usually goes for 1-2k for one offs).

If his advice is illegal, can report the lawyer to the bar council. Each lawyer has to be registered to the bar council

The scammers aren’t in Malaysia.. mostly foreigners and you can distinguish the slang. Look at the ip even some from islands from other countries

If your husband is Malaysian, you can apply for an amendment to your social visa to spouse visa where you can stay in the country for a longer period than a normal social visa but if your husband is under Professional Visa (DP10 or DP11) applied through ESD, you can apply a separate spouse permit for yourself (please refer to ESD in Surian Tower for this). Hope this helps!

I receive scam call everyday. Any anonymous or unknown caller asking questions or requesting information should be treated as a scam. Do not engage, do not answer, and block the number immediately. They usually start with negative situation to create panic
