@ghost16.10: The IAI Kfir (Hebrew: כְּפִיר) is an Israeli-built supersonic fighter aircraft developed in the 1970s by Israel Aerospace Industries to give Israel an independent, high-performance combat jet after foreign arms restrictions limited access to new aircraft. Based on the French Dassault Mirage 5 airframe, the Kfir was heavily modified by replacing the original engine with the more powerful American General Electric J79 turbojet, the same engine used on the F-4 Phantom, giving it much better speed, climb rate, and payload capacity. To handle the stronger engine and improve maneuverability, Israel added structural reinforcements, enlarged air intakes, canards on later versions, and upgraded avionics, including radar, electronic warfare systems, and compatibility with modern air-to-air and air-to-ground weapons. The Kfir was designed mainly for multirole missions such as ground attack, interception, and reconnaissance, and although it served only briefly with the Israeli Air Force before being replaced by more advanced fighters, it found long service overseas with air forces in countries like Colombia, Ecuador, Sri Lanka, and the United States (as an aggressor aircraft). Overall, the Kfir represents Israel’s ability to adapt existing designs into a capable, rugged, and combat-effective fighter tailored to its own operational needs. #CapCut #israel #colombia #iaikfir #fypシ
