I tested old seeds by putting them in a damp paper towel to see if they germinate and then potted the germinated ones ❤️

I have a binder full of sleeves of past years seeds I still use. I just over seed in case of low germination and if I end up with more than I need, I give them away to the community.

I accidentally left my seed box like yours in my greenhouse over the summer 😳 I bought some more because of course it got real hot in there lol. So we are doing an experiment this year to see if any of those will still germinate

My MIL has a seed vault. I’ve never seen it but that’s what she calls it 😂 she has heirloom tomato seeds that produced amazing tomatoes
