@warpathministries: Some of the hardest moments in life aren’t proof that you’re off course—they’re often confirmation that you’re still walking by faith. Storms don’t ask for permission, and they don’t show up because you failed. They show up because life is lived on open water. The disciples didn’t panic because the waves were big; they panicked because fear was louder than faith. Meanwhile, Jesus was never threatened by the storm—because peace isn’t the absence of chaos, it’s the presence of trust. We often beg God to stop the storm, when what He’s doing is strengthening our footing in it. Storms expose what we lean on, what we believe, and who we trust when things feel out of control. And more often than not, we discover that God was closer than we realized the entire time. The waves may rise, the wind may roar, but the voice of Jesus still carries authority over it all. If you’re in a storm today, don’t mistake the noise for abandonment. God isn’t distant—He’s present, steady, and unshaken.
