The world is co-ed. It’s really sad that women are reinforcing and perpetuating all girls schools for the reason that you mentioned. Strong women raise strong girls who raise their hand in class no matter who is around.

Attending a historic women’s college changed my life and was revolutionary for my development. It was also part of a consortium, so I did interact with men in some settings, but lived and made friendships with majority women. Highly recommend!

I didn’t think that at all! I’m coming from a dyslexic person i cared all and all from adults to my peers. I was in public school my whole life good and bad neighborhoods in and out of my life.

This was me. I went to all girls catholic highschool, it was pretty rigorous and I had teachers who would say you will notice that alot of women will not speak up in class in college and you will naturally because of the environment you have been in. It was extremely true. This isn’t to say that can’t be achieved within a coed program but the confidence I had in undergrad from the start was noticeable. People would ask where I went to hs and alot of the women who mirrored me, also went thru all girls education at some point. I had a lot of qualms with my hs but I’m grateful for that gift they gave me.

I totally agree!! It felt like a little family to be at all girls school. I believe it helps with self confidence because I never saw a man as a competition— they make you feel so empowered.

As a boy with sisters it’s so odd to me when women are secretive about their period. Like, I bought tampons recently when my sister was visiting for the weekend just in case. And I tell my female employees “remind me if we’re out of tampons in the bathroom because I won’t know to get more. What brand do you want?” And it’s not weird to me.
