@well.by.nature5: Fermented Pickles Recipe: Ingredients: - 3 small cucumbers - 2 cups filtered water - 2 tsp non-iodized salt - garlic cloves to taste - 1 tbsp peppercorns - 2 sprigs fresh dill Recommended Equipment (Find everything you need linked on this reel!) - fermentation weight - fermentation lid - wide mouthed mason jar Directions: - Start with a 30 minute ice bath - Make the brine by adding salt to water and stir well - Cut cucumbers in any style you’d like and add to jar - Add garlic, peppercorns, or any other add ins - Add fresh dill - Cover with brine until everything is submerged - Add fermentation weight and fermentation lid - Allow to ferment on the counter for 5-7 days. - After fermentation, remove weight, reseal, and add to fridge. It’s frustrating that the kit comes with (2) 24-oz jars and all of the recipes in the book are for 32-oz jars. It’s hard to wing it when you’re a complete newbie.
