To my untrained ears, you play with more precision, he plays with more feeling. If they were not presented back to back like this, I would not be able to tell them apart, however.

I think your version might be a little too legato. Your dad’s version conveys a real sense of downbeat, even without drums. There is nothing more beautiful than a father/daughter musical connection :)
