One thing I'm doing differently with my babies is giving them the option to not hug someone if they aren't comfortable with it, I'm not big on physical contact but have had to hug many relatives over the years so everyone else was happy, my kids won't have to experience that

Generally, hope I raise my kid a lot better than my parents did and I know I will because my parents weren't horrible people now I'm my foster parents are probably the best thing that I've ever had as parents and they are also helping me and guiding me raise my kid because I have never learned that

I honestly think its the other way around 😅 I mean they complain about our rules but they have rules of their own, they just don't like us having ours. From drinking things before the baby is ready, to spoon feed them until adulthood, spoiling them with toys, the freaking socks and hats that they have to wear all the time etc etc etc. I honestly find their generation overall obnoxious.

My mom said something similar to me last night! She was on FaceTime with the kids and my daughter brought up their 8:30 weeknight bedtime. My mom scoffed, rolled her eyes and said "why would you give them a bedtime? I never did that with you and you turned out fine!". Yeah, I did terrible in school, had poor time management and when she did set a rare boundary, I hated her for it.
