My printer produced smoke even though all the wires seem correct. Could it be because of the voltage setting? Should I buy a voltage regulator or a transformer, and which one would be better?

I bought the Creality Ender-3 V3 SE, been struggling for 5 days to get the right z offset and still no progress. I did everything i could. Even did the M420 S1 code. can someone please assist.
