Wizkid FC really needs to calm down and learn perspective. Admiration should not turn into blind worship. Respecting Wizkid does not require rewriting history, attacking legacies, or dismissing valid criticism. Fela Kuti is not a prop to boost anyone’s relevance, and comparison does not automatically mean equality.
Wizkid is successful, influential, and talented—no argument there. But greatness is not only about numbers, streams, or global reach. Fela’s impact was cultural, political, and revolutionary in a way that reshaped society, not just sound. Pretending those differences don’t exist is either ignorance or deliberate denial.
What makes Wizkid FC exhausting is the insecurity. Any disagreement is seen as hatred. Any correction is treated as disrespect. That mindset weakens Wizkid’s brand more than any critic ever could. Legends don’t need over-defensive fans fighting imaginary battles online.
You can celebrate Wizkid without forcing him into a space he never claimed to dominate. You can love today’s stars without erasing yesterday’s giants. Maturity is understanding that comparison is discussion, not an attack.
If Wizkid is truly great, his legacy will stand on its own—no noise, no bullying, no forced narratives needed.
