I actually realized I don’t like the flash on it! Flash can wash you out depending on how strong your flash setting is.

there really aren’t set settings that magically work everywhere. every location is different and needs its own adjustments depending on the light and vibe. respectfully, learning manual mode will take you way further and give you way more control over your shots.

I low key just change the shutter speed, iso, and the aperture! Darker lighting w flash, lower settings, brighter pictures no flash, low settings, dark photos NO FLASH, higher settings. I use the manual setting because that lets you adjust the settings. Don’t give up, it’s so worth it! I hope this makes sense😭

In ur scenario. Just dial to auto mode-and use the flash built in (it will auto calculate how much light power need it when u shoot auto. That a good camera. The rest just adjust the hightlight and brightness before u post on social media. Hope this is help. 🥺

I absolutely love mine! If you bought it used something could be wrong with it. But otherwise I would absolutely not buy another camera it’s most likely just not understanding the settings. Anything I change on my settings still looks good usually no blurriness or anything.

Definitely get an ND filter for it… it’s sorta like sunglasses for your camera to control the light your comers picks up… it has helped me a lot … I have the same camera and I love it

My best tip - ask chat gpt in the moment because sometimes if it’s sunny or cloudy the settings change depending on the weather for outdoors and night time

Everyone makes it more complicated than it has to be. Assuming you know how to format the SD card and charge your battery, here’s what you do. Follow closely: Turn the top mode dial to “P” mode (P means Program). Now your camera will automatically set your shutter speed and aperture. Next, click the round dial that says ISO and set it to ISO AUTO (look on the left side column). ISO is your light sensitivity. Now your camera will figure out your ISO automatically. Next: click the Fn button to bring up some other controls. Move the cursor until you find White Balance (in orange letters at the top). You’ll see either a sun, cloud, or a bulb icon. Or “AWB”. That’s what you want. Auto white balance. Now your camera will automatically figure out the white balance, which is how the camera applies the correct colors. Stay with the Fn button and now scroll to Focus Mode. Pick “AF-S.”. Now go to Focus Area. Pick “Wide.” Then go to Recognition Target and pick “Human”. Then go to Subject Recognition in AF and pick “AF ON.”And, finally, go to Metering Mode and pick “Multi.” Now you are ready to shoot people. The camera’s focus system will track human faces. All you have to do is take the damn picture! Easy. PS: Google Sony USA and download the owners manual for a complete step by step.
