@theunobsolete: The real reason companies are forcing RTO isn’t about productivity or culture—it’s about making expensive workers quit without paying severance. If you’re over 45 with caregiving responsibilities or a long commute, you’re the target. Watch who actually quits during these mandates. It’s always the highest-paid workers with the most to lose. Don’t give them a free resignation. #rto #remotework #ageism #caregiver #over50 📌 DISCLAIMER: I’m a workplace advocate, not a lawyer. I disagree. In my opinion it’s about commercial Real Estate.

Lady people don’t work at home. They’re at Costco, at the gym or doing other things. As a business owner I’d demand people come in or quit

This is not true. It’s only what you want to be true. Workers are not more productive at home regardless of age. And moving during covid was a choice. At no point was remote work a corporate mandate/guarantee or long term solution.

When I worked in the office, I got sick every year. Since working remote, I haven't been sick. Overall I feel healthier and have better mental and physical well-being overall. Working in an office is completely unnecessary in the digital age and it's unhealthy physically and mentally.

I’m appalled by the comments. Many studies have proven that WFH increases productivity. RTO policies are not based on anything else than disguised layoffs or real estate pressure

Corporations wanted workers back on the roads, eating at their franchises, buying cars, gas, tires and paying for vehicle maintenance. This is why for decades the United States has refused to adopt a 4 day work week.
