They have to it's not good for them to sleep with you. They become dependent. Let them figure it out with themselves soothe. They become better individuals and humans. Trust me. I have three.

my sister had my niece sleep in her crib the 1st time. They took a video of her in her crib then panned down and they had moved their mattress into the babies room to be next to the crib! 🤣
