@raleighwanderlust: 🕊️ HISTORY WAS MADE IN RALEIGH, NC 🕊️ The Walk for Peace monks stopped here today — and something incredible happened. North Carolina became the FIRST state where a mayor formally stepped out to honor the monks and officially declared a holiday: ✨ Walk For Peace Day — January 24, 2026 ✨ And let me just say this — North Carolina showed UP and showed OUT. 🤍 This community came together in the most beautiful way. These monks are walking over 2,300 miles on foot, carrying one message with them everywhere they go — peace, compassion, kindness, and unity. No politics. No division. Just presence, love, and humanity. From Texas… through our communities… 🛤️ NEXT STOP: WASHINGTON, D.C. Truly one of the most powerful, grounding, and inspiring experiences I’ve ever witnessed. In a world that feels loud and divided, today was a reminder that peace still moves people forward — one step at a time. 🤍#walkforpeace #northcarolina #raleighnc #monks #washingtondc
