I actually love that you have painted it because it still keeps some of the original character while bringing it up to date. If you had plastered it just would have looked like every other new build on the inside.

I like that you’ve painted the panelling. I have the same in my hallway and I’m planning on painting it too. I would’ve plastered over the bricks but when you need to save cash just painting over those is great too!

You could have just painted the panels to modernise but NOT the bricks, bricks looked stunning such a beautiful natural feature, I actually was looking for a home with brick walls inside, such an earthy relaxing look.

Just wanted to say even if your walls and ceiling are the same colour they’ll generally still be a different sheen (gloss level) so you’d still have to tape up the ceiling! Ceilings are typically a flat or matte and walls more often than not are a low sheen 🥰

TIP - painter here 🙋🏼♀️for deep gaps like that a spray gun is no good. Cutting in the edges and then roll it with a fluffy roller it gets into all the grooves. You also would have only needed a 4L of paint as spraying wastes ALOT because of over spray and can take longer to dry. I know you’ve already done but just a tip. Looks great x
