This is such poor journalism. Like they're glorifying what they're doing. When in actual fact the points system is so the soldiers who are most effective can use the more expensive equipment. It's a way of managing expenses for the war nothing else, it's not like they're getting given trophies and such. It's an incredibly smart way of resource management.
