My eye looked monolid for the longest time, and I used to hate them too. Using double eyelid tape would lowkey help make my eyes more round and prominent. I learned to love my eyes and stopped using the tape. I have an in between eyelid type so it can appear both mono or double depending on the angle and lighting.
