@curiousaboutvietnam: One of my favorite eating experiences in Saigon is stopping at street food carts like this. There is something special about standing and waiting for your bowl with everyone else, watching the food being cooked fresh, and sharing the moment with locals. That day, I stopped at a very popular cart in District 1, surrounded by office buildings, which is usually a good sign. These spots are busy for a reason, especially with local office workers. The owner serves a different dish each day, and I was lucky enough to catch her on a bún bò day. It ended up being one of the best bún bò I have had in Saigon. If her bún bò was this good, I have no doubt everything she serves is worth trying. Next time you are in Saigon and see a street food cart packed with locals, do not hesitate. That is often where some of the best food in the city is found.
