@floriangadsby: Here they finally are, all glazed and ready to go, at least some of them… you can watch the fully narrated, 43-minute video via the Linktree in my profile’s biography.   These really have been a long time coming, I love coffee, I drink it everyday but somehow, before this I'd never tried making a coffee dripper/pour-overs before.   They're an interesting form to create due to their irregular shape that isn't really like anything else, at the same time, there are just so many factors with these that can change the outcome... the taste of the coffee, the angle of the walls, the size of the hole, the ribs on the interior shape, how the coffee has been ground, the temperature of the water poured in and even the paper filter.   In this video, I explore the entire process, from throwing and trimming them on the potter's wheel, to waxing and glazing them, reduction firing them to cone ten, (1290º) and finally testing them, which came with a few surprises... Let's just say I probably need to go back to the drawing board for one particular feature.   Despite that failure, often it's needed in order to progress with a particular shape.
