Pro tip, wet your hair in a lock room shower add a little conditioner and then fill the cap with tap water and put it on. Helps prevent chlorine damage! I competitively dove for 7 years and and all my swim team mates did this!

Swim caps are more of like “aerodynamics”. Not for keeping hair dry! Hair creates drag while in the water so you can swim easier and faster with the cap!

No because my favorite part of swim practice/meets was when I got to dunk my hair in the water after having the swim cap on because them swim caps create so much tension 😭😭

They make me wear it in the gym pool to keep it clean of hair I think. But you don’t have to wear one in the jacuzzi or the outside pool so it really doesn’t make sense
