Both my parents had Alzheimer’s, albeit in different stages. They chose MAID (in NL) and they wanted to go together. It was very complex and difficult to get to the right time, not too early and not too late. In the end it was beautiful as they helt hands and drifted off. I wish you all the strength and love in the world…

guys do you actually think she's gonna call this off because strangers in tiktok comments think they know more than medical professionals who have met her in real life? she's also saying she's basing the date on what symptoms she's prepared to deal with. so she may not die independently of maid in the summer, but her quality of life will deteriorate beyond what's she's willing to live with

My Mom passes away January 13, 2025 using MAID. She had been a registered nurse, with her medical conditions she told all of her children that she knows what comes next and she didn’t want to die like that. She passed surrounded by her children and so much love, I was in bed with her holding her hand, so peaceful 🌹♥️

My dear friend opted to utilize maid this past November (in Ontario Canada) because she had inoperable brain cancer and was in so much pain already. Although I cannot say I can understand, as I have not been through it, or dementia as you, but I do fully support it and believe I would want to do the same if I were in the same position. My friend left on her terms after fighting a long battle that she would not win. Her family also supported her decision 100%.
