@felabrationng: History is doing what it should have done long ago.  On Saturday the 31st of January 2026, Fela Anikulapo Kuti receives the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award – the first African musician to be honoured in this category.  He created Afrobeat. He built Kalakuta Republic. He turned the stage into a parliament of the people.  Many of today's artistes, global festivals and protest movements are echoes of a sound he started many years ago.
