We spotted new bright orange signage with “SUNSHINE IS COMING!”, confirming Eggstatic is taking over the space. Eggstatic is a fast-growing Toronto breakfast brand founded in 2018 by Chef Faris Awwad. They’ve grown to 12 locations across Toronto, Ottawa, and Montreal, and this Main Street shop will be their first ever location in Western Canada. This isn’t your basic bacon-and-eggs diner either. They lean into Middle Eastern-inspired brunch, and the menu is Halal with lots of vegetarian and vegan-friendly options. Think shakshuka, Nashville chicken benedicts, falafel croissants, and Lotus Biscoff pancakes with cookie butter sauce.
