A bride leaving her wedding reception was kill3d when a woman driving under the influence & well over twice the speed limit slammed into the back of a golf cart on a South Carolina beach road. Data retrieved from Jamie Lee Komoroski's rental car indicated she was driving 65 mph (105 kph) & only briefly hit the brakes before she hit the golf cart around 10 p.m. Friday on Folly Beach, investigators said. The speed limit on the island near Charleston is 25 mph (40 kph). Samantha Miller, 34, of Charlotte, North Carolina, di3d in the wreck. Miller had just got married hours earlier. Three others in the golf cart including the groom were injured. Gilreath said the golf cart had lights and was legal to drive at night. The groom's mother created an online fund to pay for her daughter-in-law's funeral & her son's medical bills. It included a photo of the newlyweds running under sparklers just before the crash. It also had a photo of groom Aric Hutchinson in the hospital, where he was recovering from a brain injury & numerous broken bones after the golf cart rolled over several times & was thrown 100 yards (91 meters). At the hospital, Annette Hutchinson wrote that she was handed a bag with her son's wedding band 5 hours after his now-d3ad wife put it on his finger. Komoroski, 25, is charged with reckless vehicular homicid3 & 3 counts of driving under the influence causing d3ath. She faces one to 25 years in prison on each DUI count. Komoroski remained in the Charleston County jail Monday afternoon and records did not indicate if she had a lawyer. #crimejunkie #truecrimetiktok #crimejunkies #crimetiktok #crimetiktoker #crimestories #crime #crimetoks #truecrime #crimetiktokers

A married couple in Pennsylvania who raised thousands in online donations following the d3ath of their 5-year-old son will no longer be able to profit off of the boy’s d3ath now that they’ve been arrested & charged in the boy’s d3ath. The GoFundMe page set up by Jacob Maloberti & Lauren Maloberti has been disabled & donor requests for refunds will be honored. Authorities say the parents physically & emotionally tortur3d their son, Landon Maloberti, b3ating him to d3ath & leaving his brain obliterated. Landon’s adoptive parents had raised just over $5,000 in the wake of his untimely d3ath in January of this year. The Malobertis were taken into custody on July 27. Jacob Maloberti, who works as a corrections officer at Fayette State Correctional Center, was charged with 1 count each of criminal homicid3, endangering the welfare of children & criminal conspiracy, as well as 2 counts of aggravated ass*ult of a child. Lauren Maloberti is facing the same charges as her husband, plus 1 count of first-degree murd3r. The investigation into the Malobertis began on the evening of Monday, Jan. 30, 2023, when they brought an unconscious Landon to AHN Hempfield Neighborhood Hospital. Due to the severity of his condition, the child was later transported to the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) Children’s Hospital for more specialized care. Unfortunately, Landon ultimately succumbed to his injuries & was pronounced d3ad just over a week later, on the evening of Feb. 7. The Allegheny County Medical examiner determined that the little boy’s manner of d3ath was a homicid3. Landon’s parents waited a full day after he suffered his fatal injuries before seeking medical care for the boy. Doctors found that Landon had actually suffered 3 separate bleeds in his brain, describing his brain as obliterated. Landon had blunt force trauma to his head & neck, blunt force trauma to his torso, blunt force trauma to his extremities. Landon also had prolonged & intensive medical interventions prior to his d3ath & multiple bruises in different stages of healing.” Prosecutors alleged that Lauren Maloberti’s former colleagues told police she hated Landon & referred to him as hard to love. The Malobertis are currently being held in Westmoreland County Prison without bond. They are scheduled to appear in court again on Aug. 8. #crime #truecrime #crimetiktok #crimejunkie
