@stepsandstocks: 1/25/2026 I used the wheel strategy for selling options to add an extra $93,000 to my portfolio last year. This is a basic explanation of what the wheel strategy is, and what covered calls and cash secured puts are. There are other considerations when selling options so make sure you do your own due diligence and research. This is not financial advice. #options #optionstrader #optiontrading #stockmarkettips #financialliteracy
This is the strategy i intend to use when i start trading options…. Makes complete sense

Starting funds is the bottle neck people run into, small accounts can only trade small stocks with limited premiums making it hard to see much profit. Or they don’t have enough to run multiple wheels concurrently. Unfortunately other strategies like iron condor aren’t allowed at tier 1 options trading on specific platforms 🥲

Can you show closing out a covered call early on Fidelity? I find that confusing.

very well explained Nicole. Few peopke know the strategy and even fewer can explain it. The people that sell puts or calls can win consistently while those that buy often lose.

I am a little nervous about the earnings report on the 30th. If it goes down a lot, I’ll just keep rolling it until it recovers.

Do you sell call right away? Or do you waited till you got assignment first then you sell calls? I am a little confused. Thank you.

When you’re assigned shares how long do you typically aim to hold them(while selling calls against those shares)? Is your goal to get rid of those ASAP for the same strike price they were assigned?
