@dzigbordikwakudosoo: Have you ever been called on to speak and suddenly your mind goes blank? It’s not because you’re incapable or unprepared in some deep way. It’s usually because no one ever taught you what you’re actually supposed to prepare for. Spontaneous Public Speaking [what I call SPS] happens to all of us: At work. In meetings. At events. Even in casual conversations where you’re unexpectedly put on the spot. The real difference between people who freeze and people who rise isn’t confidence. It’s clarity. When you understand the kinds of moments that tend to show up, you can prepare calmly instead of panicking in public. And the good news? This is a skill. And that skill can can be learned.
could you please recommend a book or two that speaks more about spontaneous public speaking.

Even when you're prepared Ma, panic can make you forget everything. How do you deal with that?

Thank you for these powerful insights. I remember, a few months ago, I was called on spontaneously to give the vote of thanks in a ceremony at church. I panicked, paused, and took on the opportunity. Eventually, I delivered afraid and unprepared.

I remember going for a pugentry and all of a sudden they needed a few minutes education on breast cancer. My heart sank when the mantle fell on me. Was so nervous but as I mustered the courage and started with something funny to cool the crowd and get them involved, I naturally flowed. And that 5 minutes became so powerful I wish I had more time. Thank you for the insight Madam. Well appreciated ❤️🔥
