His leg is on the clutch the whole time and when he was on red light he holds the clutch that is realy bad.

Look, everyone's gonna say rev match. Everyone's gonna say you're downshifting poorly, but at the end of the day, if it's what makes you feel more comfortable and safer when driving That's all that matters i mean, statistically, it is safer.You're less focused on what you should be When you're focused on downshifting no matter how good you are at multitasking, you can only be so good until you rear end somebody . Putting it in neutral takes one more task off your plate. Easier to focus on what's in front of you

if your car jerk when you down shift for example from 4 to 3 you need to learn how to Rev Match that will give you a smooth down shift. in another way to explaining it let say you're going in the 4th gear speed at 70 kmh the rpm will be around 2.1k (depends on is the car diesel or gas) and you slow down to 50 kmh if you down shift to 3th great without raising the rpm to 2 k the car will jerk because of the clutch. Again this is a skill not many can do

I hate when people just keep their food down on the clutch while waiting, unless you’re at a give way or roundabout don’t do it, you’re just gonna burn your release bearing out.

You don’t have more control with the breaks. In fact when you put in neutral and flores the breaks you will break slower than with a gear engaged so if you need to emergency break it’ll be safer with a gear angaged

ypu dont need to pay attention to downshifting. in time, with practice downshifting cleanly, with no jerks, just happens, and for example a quick down shift from 4th to 3rd and breaking with the engine also helping you to slow down and puting in neutral just before stopping is better, there is more control, than just going to neutral and working just the breaks. Its not about fuel savings its about control and safety. At the end of the day do whatever you feels is safer with the car that you drive,and people wil do whatever they want but I personally think this is better

Its not for fuel effiency, its for the clutch to not be worn out by holding it down the entire time.

We do that not because we think we save fuel but because you save your clutch’s life your not pressing it so u dont add pressure on the clutch..
