No matter what anyone says, this is true for many of our people, staying away from ideas fearing they will change them. If our faith is so fragile, it wasn't meant to uphold anyway

i wasn’t born muslim, i converted in 2023. but i grew up in a muslim country. i wasn’t excluded but i was questioned by other students (younger than me or when we were quite small) about what my faith was and if i eat pork. we had a field trip for islamic class and my classmate tried to bully me into not going because i was not muslim. after primary school, i moved schools. i didn’t face any more discrimination but what i found worse was the misinformation some muslims classmates spreading to a non muslim like me.. i was put off by islam because of this but Allah had other plans for me anyway alhamdulillah.

The sad reality of this society,is that we think being exposed to other religions is harmful, but really it makes your faith more certain, and im wondering, her parents did allow her to enroll into an islamic school even tho she was a non muslim, they did not fear change,so why do we fear exposure and knowledge of other religions?Think about that

I had a similar experience in my life and i still am in one. I have been a friend to a person of a didfferent religion of mine. The same as you said she wouldnt do religous studies of our class or attend them. People always talked behind her back when she wasn't there, but she was there they would all act like they didnt say anything about her. I have been friends with her for 8 years and still am. Some people early on when we first became friends would talk to me and ask about why were we friends. I never thought about it that way at first, but maybe society made me change my mind. I had a rebel stage in my past, and i believed that she was the one who is destroying my faith in god eventhough she wasnt. Tbh, my take on this is that even if someone has otger believes than your own dosent mean they are wrong about everything they just have a part of their lives which are different than ours. However, they lived in the same school with the same eviroment. If someone or something is destroying your faith it is not there problem its yours. It is in your hands to own up to it, to leave them or that thing, or to stay with them or it.

everyone is free to follow the religion they want and ofc religion can't be forced on anyone, so imo the teacher was wrong there

It seems that everyone has faced a similar experience to a greater or lesser degree. Same here but like everyone else i thought why do we even need religions so badly to war with other earthlings and even shed the blood of innocence. Maybe it was a sin to be born here, such an irrational world, in the beginning. Yet why? Perhaps in the future ppl will throw away those religious ideologies and make a better place. It's just that South Asia is such a horrible place to live

this is honestly really awful to hear, forcing ur faith upon someone is the one thing I would never understand, just let them live their own life, man.

I guess its just intolerance of different opinions and viewpoints. Differences might lead to disagreements which leads to a lack of control for most egoistic people.

I also had a friend from a different religion in school, nobody treated her any different as long as I can remember. Just like you, there was a religious exam in my school and when it was her turn, the teacher let her go and I'd assume she passed her or wrote it as an exception which made me which made me admire her so I guess there is hope! Hope Crimson aswell as my friend are doing well..
