The CRA are notified immediately once a death certificate is filed by the furneral/cremation service provider ... So it really doesn't matter if someone else calls, they've already been informed.

Genuine question, how do you hide the paper trail? All assets are conveniently switched the day the person dies? CRA has seen it all, they’d be on ya like a duck on a Junebug.

I’ve been told a will is so important and I’m procrastinating. Another issue because we may be young we think it’s not needed: I’ve seen many mothers and fathers in their 30s passing recently so I’m definitely going to get my will done this is a good video

⚠️I found this out the Hard Way, Trudeau passed some law that if you do not have all of the estate finalized within three years of the date of death, you pay 60% taxes

If someone dies in the hospital, which is generally where they die the whole system takes over and you don’t have control over it after that. My dad died at home and when he did, the authorities were called by my brother. Aside from taking my dad and somehow finding a place to keep them frozen there would be no way of being able to do what you say. As soon as the authorities are let known someone comes in there check them over and see if there’s any reason to investigate the death. They then call somebody to come collect the body and it goes to a morgue. There aren’t a lot of people that do this work relative to the population. My funeral director that cremated my father did all the paperwork on my behalf, and there wasn’t any choice out of it. There would have to be very specific situations where we’re not telling anybody would work. The system is already designed to catch everything in possibly can that is easy
