my mom threw the biggest fit bc she was getting a 3 rose bouquet and not a full bouquet like my brides maids. I had already included her in walking me down the aisle along with my dad. but all she could focus on was "how is it gonna look if I have a smaller bouquet than everyone?????" I purposely picked the 3 roses bc ever since I was a kid growing up and i saw 3 of ANYTHING I'd immediately point it out and would say "look! it's daddy mommy and me!" bc it was always just the 3 of us growing up. so naturally I saw the 3 roses and mentally went "aw! it's dad, mom and me!" i remember being heartbroken when she started throwing a fit about it and through tears told her I picked it bc it was daddy her and me.

My in laws threw such a huge fit, we were doing the 1,000 Japanese cranes, with a blurb about the tradition in the itinerary. They were not going to show up if I used the phrase Gods, instead of God, insisting that one letter be the difference in our marriage.

This is spot on. My husband had to tell his parents no, they couldn’t invite 90 guests ! And we weren’t going to use the local chain hotel. And that since they weren’t offering to pay anything they had no voice. ♥️I loved and respected him even more but they moved themselves further towards our outer circle for trying to interfere. All of this was behind my back.
