during sleep paralysis I've never encountered the hat man, things that I see are more defined and terrifying. I do my best to not go under when I feel the pull of sleep paralysis, which also means it takes a long time for me to fall asleep

I saw him once. I was up, I’d gone to the bathroom and happened to see someone through my bedroom door. I walked over to the door from across the room to make sure I saw it right and he was just there. Standing, watching, I had been filled with this horrible since I’d dread the second I saw him from the bathroom door. I slowly reached towards the light on the wall. I had a PP pistol immediately to my right on the nightstand. And was reaching for it as the my eyes adjusted to the light but there was nothing there anymore. I still couldn’t shake the sense of dread and ended up awake for a few hours after this. I’d seen him a few years earlier as well and had also pulled a pew on him then too. I actually was pointing it at him yelling to put his hands up when I reached with my other hand to turn on the light. There was nothing there then too. I don’t take sleep medication and each time I was mostly awake and walking around.

I use to have sleep paralysis often! My worst experience was when I had woken up from it at around 3am, sat up for 10min in fear but was so tired, i laid back down…. When I drifted off, I fell back in to paralysis. This happened 3 times in a row, over and over again… 3 FREAKIN TIMES 😩 I thought if I just gave it a little more time in between it wouldn’t happen again…. I ended up just staying awake that night. - I didn’t experience the Hat Man though, I would just hear something scramble around on the floor of my room and I couldn’t move to see it….

My siblings and I have seen him in our house for years including some of our neighbors in the block my most recent encounter was a few years ago came home late from my friends house and I bumped into him on my way to my room. Scary but I had to push through.

My mom told me that my uncle had seen this exact spirit they lived in Mexico but this spirit goes everywhere around the world and appears when there’s bad energy I know that this is true because my three cousins were eating dinner and they looked at the laundry room that is straight across from them and there it was the hat man they screamed running to the living room scared pale when my aunt look there was nothing there…
