I don’t know how some hotels function with a front desk manager is only available in the morning/afternoon. Also, I don’t understand why guests think the manager will say anything different than the employee

Why didn’t you just suggest that they pay and then review their charges afterwards. I’ve had to do this so many times. It’s just easier than trying to have challenging conversations especially late at night

And THIS is why I do NOT work front desk. I did reservations for the Disneyland Resort area (including Disney hotels), and I am way better over the phone than in person. I cry way too easily in person but over the phone I’m stronger.
