Why when separating can it not just be you keep what you have and go your separate ways I didn’t want anything my ex husband had and he came into some inheritance after we separated did I ask for any no I did not because it’s his not mine we both paid our fair share throughout the marriage and we both came away with our own finances simple I get others have mortgages and stuff can make it tricky but with things like pension and income and stuff just leave it alone

I had a frozen pension from many years before I met my wife. She claimed she had a bad back and couldn’t work ever, everyone knew she was lying. She took most of the pension in divorce, then started work after the divorce. Can I take her to court for fraud?

People saying “don’t get married” clearly don’t have any idea what an *actual* partnership looks like - Many families make the decision to have one parent look after the kids full time, or they may work but part time. Often this is due to childcare costs, but it’s also sometimes personal preference’s in terms of what that couple believes is best for their kids. In those cases it’s not fair, if that couple were to split up, to have the entire pension go to one person when they made a joint decision to have one half of the partnership not work or work part time, and therefore have a smaller pension because of smaller contributions…
