My sister and I were discussing this very thing today….. like you don’t know what trauma is what I’ve seen Would leave most millennials and younger, laying in a fetal position and crying for days. And at this point my life, I just laugh about it.

I am one.ofnthe few that is GenX but had a fairly ideal upbringing. Trauma yes but I was supported to work through it in my 20's. I had babies when I was older (37 & 39) and worked hard to raise my children so they felt seen & heard. I was.the kid who drank from a hose (but I could go into my house) was feral and tore around the neighborhood (my mom asked where I was and who I was with and asked to he home by 5PM), I didn't know until later that this wasn't the same for my friends.

We have all had trauma. I am gen x and open about it, but not on this app. I find it healing, but only started when I became older like in my 40s.

I was just talking about this yesterday with my husband. There is a lot I have held hold to for years. That nobody even knows about. Just cover up the feelings and keep moving.

I tell my kids everything! So they know that family is sometimes evil. I told my younger cousins everything. I will not carry the secrets and I encourage anyone to tell their story.
