I think about this everyday… sitting alone thinking about the inevitable death, the irony of how I can accomplish so much in terms of how society views accomplishment; but sometimes something as simple as a conversation or painting has more meaning than anything I’ve done in my career; or approved by the standards of others; and then feeling like I care and love so deeply for my family and those close to me, yet being aware how separate we are while also being so close… like when my best friend died who I spent everyday with I still learned so much about her in death… like each individual is so layered to the point we can’t ever fully know others, yet that’s what I value most in life is connection, everything has that level of ‘irony’ and most people don’t even see it so how can I relate to those who dont even perceive reality the way I do? Agh!
