Subject: Urgent Appeal Regarding the Educational Crisis in the Kurdistan Region To the United Nations and UNESCO, We, the senior high school students (Grade 12) in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, are facing a systematic violation of our right to a fair education. Due to recent civil unrest and widespread power outages, we have lost significant study time—vital hours needed to prepare for the National Ministerial Exams. Despite these extraordinary circumstances, the Ministry of Education refuses to extend the exam schedule or compensate for the lost time. We are being held accountable for a crisis we did not create. We call upon the international community and human rights organizations to intervene.
