As an elementary principal in my 4th year and 23 years of teaching music, it will be a cold day in hell when I ask my teachers to do anything remotely close to this. I hope I never lose my perspective of what it was like to be in the classroom. I’m constantly telling my teachers that they are the experts and to do what’s best for kids. I also give credit where credit is due because I am not the smartest person in the room and I’m not afraid to ask questions.

I recently switched districts. After I wrote my first set of lesson plans (very brief- obj. activity, assessment, standards from the drop down menu) I asked my admin if she needed anything else. She said: Thank you for attaching the standards! You even knew where to find them. I love my new school. LOL

There should be 2 lesson plans, one at the beginning of the year to say what plan is and the goals for the year , and one half way through the year for any adjustments that may need adjusting from the first one and that second one can be done throughout the first half of the year

That dang Realtime 😡 I teach college courses to the students in the college option program and making all of that for each day is frustrating. One course is 5 days a week and I have them from 12:15-2:30. It’s impossible for me to have a different lesson every period every day for a college management course that’s only for one semester, that I have to stretch over 10 months.
