So I partially agree with this, I will never say no to a vacation or to making memories with family and friends, but I will not sacrifice my financial freedom and put myself in debt and go underwater to create those memories . Just my point of view.

This advice could backfire on you later in life if you’re not saving and investing at all. There has to be balance, spend some, save some, live your life enjoy it, but you better be saving and investing or you won’t have enough TIME for your money to compound to catch up later in life.
