Here's the way jurisdiction works. The city police has jurisdiction over their city. It may have been a blood spot. The sheriff has jurisdiction over the county. Now let's say the city's investigating a murder. The sheriff can come in and tell the city that they're taking over the investigation. Why? Because they're in charge of the whole county. Now let's just say that the county has almost solved the case. Now the state police can come in and tell the sheriff. I am now taken over the case. Because there are in charge of the whole state. So being able to federal aid, get involved the federal aid that can come in and tell the local police to sheriff. And the state police, we're taking over jurisdiction, and we're gonna handle the case.It's the way it works.It happens every day throughout the united states
