a big curiosity, is can you use your own drawings? or could I pay an artist to give me character reference sheets and attempt to animate it almost on a video rig? it seems to have interesting implementations and a way to integrate paid artists work into an easy animation space for hobbyists

Using after effects and this ai generated cartoon detective you could hand animate the faces and lipsinc it to be accurate, then cut down the frame rate of the character with posterise time, and a add a turbulent displace to the character to make it look more hand drawn and imperfect. What I'm saying is there is something here with this AI generation that could work really well with a little more post production. As a motion graphics artist myself seeing this makes me excited.
