@missclairebenjamin: Are your boundaries damaging your reputation? There’s a lot of advice telling leaders to “set better boundaries.” ❌ Say no more. Push back. Stop over-functioning. And while that advice isn’t wrong it’s also not the full picture. ⛔️ Because if you’re not careful, rigid boundaries can harm your reputation and strain key relationships. The goal isn’t to become harsh. It’s to become clear and boundaried without losing influence. The leaders I work with inside People Mastery Academy® learn exactly how to do this- how to hold boundaries in a way that protects their time and strengthens their reputation. Because the ability to hold firm without damaging key relationships is one of the most overlooked skills in leadership. 💬 Where have you seen people go wrong with boundaries? Great advice. Another point is that Boundaries go both ways. Leaders aren’t punching bags or parents

This concept is actually not understood by a lot of people....so that's why it is not surprising a lot of people use "boundaries" as a weapon instead...

This is a good perspective Claire! I also think it’s hard when you’re new to a role or early in your career to set hard boundaries, it’s easier to do when you’ve already earned trust and proven yourself. But would love to hear more on the RIGHT way to set and communicate boundaries!
