As a PCT I will now refer to being the sole tech on the floor as being mega tech thank you for this. I had my second ever mega tech shift last week with 17 med-surg patients😭

I worked in a cardiac trauma icu as a pct in a level 1 trauma hospital on night shift. they never had a night shift tech until they hired me they loved it

I hate when I float in the ICU Teching cause there’s not much for us to do independently and most the time the nurses would rather do their own stuff so I’m just there being useless all night lol

me yesterday on med surg during the storm and all our techs called out i had to do my morning vitals and sugars…i only had 4 patients (very rare) but it really ruined my morning because thats when i chart before med pass😭😭
