We Were house hunting two years ago in Georgia and We were on top of Kennesaw Mountain/ Cheatham Hill and before I saw the Landmark Sign I Told my wife that this was a battlefield..I felt it being a Veteran!! We bought a house in Paulding County Ga Rich in Georgia History !

Love Antietam battlefield. It's not over commercialized like Gettysburg, it's remote, rural and you can still see the way it looked then in most sites there.

My son and I drove up to Antietam and Gettysburg from Alabama in October and it was a fabulous windy fall day. It was during the government shutdown and very few people were there. Very eerie but so beautiful.
