we had a "test" with a big page of instructions, if you read all the way to the end it told you that the purpose of the test was reading to the end and that if you answered any of the multiple choice questions, you failed. I think about that a lot

People online will post some terrible takes about media they consume & I’ll ask them to explain why they didn’t like it. They will just reply with the plot of the movie or tv show and not actually explain why it’s bad, like you can say generic things like “it just didn’t engage me” or “I understand what it was doing but it wasn’t for me” I don’t care what just give me a tangible reason without insulting the tv show / movie or me

As a uni student theatre person learning how to do ticketing back in the 90s, my mentor told me that you can put up a sign or tell people instructions ten times but u simply just have to assume they dont read and dontlisten. Its been true for ages - just that now its socmed flavoured
