@aaron.the.rn: Today I fly back to Florida and back to work after 3 weeks in the Philippines 🇵🇭✈️ Was it expensive? Yes. $1,600 for the ticket alone—almost ₱100,000. And that’s not even counting treating family, transportation, pasalubong, meet-ups, celebrations, travel insurance, and all the little expenses that come with coming home. But is it worth it? Always! Like most overseas Filipinos, we move abroad to earn a decent living—so we can actually live every once in a while. But at the same time, we also need to be financially responsible. People often underestimate how big of a financial decision it is to take a vacation in your own country when “home” is on the other side of the world. But despite the financial burden, isn’t that why we work in the first place? So we can come home. Make memories. And enjoy the fruits of our labor.
