@thesmallmighty: What you must not forget in a redundancy is that HR are not protecting you, that’s your job😃 1. Know your rights 2. Have the evidence 3.stay calm and lawyer up #careeradvice #redundancy
Hi there, just came across one of your posts. I have been made redundant with 1 week given to accept their without prejudice offer. Union only manage to get a small pay out but I know it should be better. He said if i dont accept they will force me to carry out a different role come september and they wont offer a revised redundancy

+ chat GPT for helping find answers to all legal rights including statutory etc. that’s all part of the homework. Employee should lead the discussion, leaving no stone unturned

I'm in the UK and at risk of redundancy. So would my company be liable to pay for a solicitor? and at what part of the process?

Well first of all you know need half of those documents. And FYI if the company you work for doesn’t have a policy on redundancy then they use the statutory formula. They by law have to give you the final payment calculation of which you get that checked and you raise any issues or queries and then you sign and get paid. Not that complicated really.

Our whole firm has been asked to do a 2 day time and motion study. I reckon this is the start of redundancies 😥
