@603benztech: This is what you have to watch out for when you purchase a third party warranty. This vehicle has been sitting at our shop for over a week waiting for an approval decision. A warranty inspector came out more than a week ago, but after the inspection the claim was placed into “admin review,” with no timeline, no explanation, and no direct way to contact the admin team. Email only. During this phone call, I asked if this process made sense and whether these delays affect the client. There was a long pause and no clear answer. After being placed on hold for 12 minutes, we were told an email had just come in, but it still needed to be processed. When approval finally came back, it was only partial. They approved:
• Only one engine mount, even though both mounts are worn and standard repair procedure is to replace them in pairs
• Half the labor time, even though the engine must be removed and there is no labor time for replacing just one mount They denied:
• Upper control arms that are covered, clearly making noise, and now verified on video with torn bushings Now we are fighting to get the correct approvals so the client does not have to pay out of pocket for repairs that should be covered. Third party warranties can cost thousands of dollars, but when it is time to use them, the process can be slow, unclear, and frustrating.
