My recommendation is don’t buy any electric vehicles in the first place. Really bad investment if you want to trade it in. Most dealerships don’t want them because they know that they can’t sell them on.

Live in Ireland and buy a car that isn't waterproof. Sure even ICE cars can't go too deep too. But have you seen how low some of the EVs are? No wonder the 2nd hand market doesn't exist.

same as most cars if water gets into them but you would think they have the battery case sealed that water can't get in so it really a fault of the manufacturer

I know there is all this doom being pushed about EVs but what would you think is the total cost of ownership of an EV versus a similarly priced luxury car say Audi or BMW.. my assumption is if you are smart and put money aside for when things happen (I mean a 10y/o Merc, BMW or Audi is likely gonna need something major out of warranty) that the echo nomics of the EV stack up well
